The vision for S.O.U.LMAG was birthed over 5 years ago as we started publishing a magazine for the Fla.vor Fest Conference and then Crossover Church. We began including more and more articles and resources for the culture in each issue as our influence and pages grew. Soon we received more and more requests for the magazine to go national and become the voice that Christ centered hip-hop needed. Honestly our small team didn't want that responsibility at the time as we were also doing so many other ministry related things already. During the past two years the magazine has grown to over 100 pages and our team has greatly expanded as we're based out of Crossover Church and it's growth continues.

In 2007 we came to the place where we felt the green light to take things to the next level and take S.O.U.LMAG national.In 2008 we signed a national distribution deal that now puts Soulmag in mainstream stores like Barnes and Nobles along with some Christian stores. As our influence increases we're excited to introduce our growing readership to new and established artists, new resources, new ministries and encouraging articles about what Christ is doing in the urban/hip-hop community. Welcome to S.O.U.LMAG where we speak on urban life while we keep our faith in the center of the conversation.
